Fish.

Today was the iconic milestone, popularized in so many books, movies and TV shows, that is my first day of high school. Strangely enough, it didn't end in tears or joyous affirmations that this was the beginning of the best four years of my life. It was just...ehh. Nothing extraordinary.
The highlights of my day:

  1. Arguing with my geography teacher, Coach Cannon (Best. Name. Ever.), about Gambit. For those who may not know, Gambit is my favorite comics character of all time. When he asked us what our interests were and I replied comic books, he excitedly asked me what books I liked. I said X-Men and he asked me my favorite character. When I said Gambit (with a hefty amount of pride, heh) the reaction I got was nothing short of epic. He gets a 10 on his disappointed groan and face/palm. Anyway, then he proceeded to tell me that Gambit is nothing more than a mix of Wolverine and Cyclops. Well, that doesn't fly with me. We had a good-spirited, impassioned argument about it (much to the disbelief of everyone else in the class) and I hope there is more to come.
  2. Sitting at a table full of upperclassmen and...gasp...not being humiliated and forced to move. It's like I'm cool.
  3. Being called "that fish named Jenna".

So, yeah. I live to attend another day of high school.

Look, ma, no shame!

Well, look at this. Another nobody has set up a blog. Overnight fame, here I come!

That is what happens, right?
